Hello, I’m Briana and it’s nice to virtually meet you. My passion for health and fitness started several years ago after running my first 5k. This lead to several more 5ks, 10ks,  the first of many half marathons, my first triathlon and finally returning to school to pursue a career in health and wellness. I recently graduated Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. At Arizona State I had the opportunity to learn from leading experts on nutrition, exercise science and holistic wellness with an emphasis on building health throughout the life cycle.

I expanded my education as an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer and sports nutrition specialist. My love for triathlons also led me to become one of the first graduates of IRONMAN University’s triathlon coaching certification program. I currently run several 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons a year, and I’m currently training for my second marathon in December.  I have also completed several sprint, olympic, half Iron distance triathlons a year and just completed my second full 140.6 mile Ironman in May.

I started by coaching a few friends for 5ks, half marathons and a 70.3 triathlon. Seeing someone else succeed at their goals was far more rewarding than anything I had ever experienced. I knew immediately that I wanted to help others live their best life through exercise and balanced eating which led me to start Briana Ottinger Fitness.

My goal is to inspire you to take your health into your own hands and teach you how to embrace your body, get stronger and make the most out of the life you have been given. I believe that ‘fad diets’ don’t work and set us up to fail. I will educate you on portion control, how to nourish your body with whole grains, fruits and vegetables, healthy fats and lean proteins. Eating well can be affordable, fun and tasty!

If I’m not swimming, bike or running, I can be found curled up with a good book, creating recipes in the kitchen or baking healthy treats. I’m passionate about encouraging others to nourish their bodies, educate themselves and build each other up. My experience as an ambassador for Coeur Sports, nuun hydration and as a race ambassador for numerous races, Giant Race Series, USA Productions and the Berkeley Half Marathon over the years have allowed me to have a positive impact on the fitness community and connect with so many fellow athletes.

I look forward to connecting with you and helping you embrace a lifetime of health.
