Hello! How many of you had the chance to see the super moon the last two nights? I woke up super early on Wednesday morning and caught the blood moon and the eclipse, plus a fantastic sunrise from the top of Mt. Tamalpais. After that I headed out for a quick trail run and then grabbed coffee from my favorite shop, Equator. Click through after the photos for this months challenge.

I don’t know about you, but January was crazy busy. How many of you completed the Whole30? I’m in the reintroduction phase, however I skipped adding back in alcohol and legumes. To be honest, I didn’t really miss either of those things, so I’m just not adding them back into my diet. I had a tiny bit of peanut butter, and it just didn’t taste the same. Too salty and way too sweet, so I’m sticking to almond butter for now. Yesterday I had all of the gluten free grains, a slice of gluten free banana bread for breakfast, a 1/2 cup of rice with my lunch and gluten free pasta for dinner. The rest of the foods I ate were Whole30 compliant. I didn’t feel as good as I felt on the Whole30 but also not awful. So now it’s back to eating Whole30 for a few days before I reintroduce dairy this weekend.

I digress…February is the month of love, so this challenged is designed to love your core. Why the core? Well, it’s the foundation of your body, a strong core can help prevent back injury, help improve run form, help with posture, protect your inner organs and improve self confidence. Who doesn’t want that?

Instructions: There are about 5 exercises listed for each day. Perform each exercise for 1 minute, resting as needed (15-60 seconds) between each. On certain days you’ll need to do exercises for 1 minute on the left side and 1 minute on the right side. I recommend downloading a timer like GymBoss or setting one on your phone.

Please reach out if you have any questions regarding the exercises or just want to chat health and wellness. I love writing these challenges for you.

If I can do this, so can you!
