We made it through the first week of 2018! How are you feeling? Are you sticking to those New Year’s Intentions/Goals/Resolutions? Did you know that more than half of all resolutions fail?! One of my goals is to complete a Whole30, so far I’m doing pretty well, and its going much better than expected. The fatigue is starting to set in, but my sugar hangover hasn’t been too bad. The Whole30 is NOT a diet, more of a way for me to kick my sugar habit and get back to a healthier way of eating that I prefer. I am not doing it to lose weight, I’m doing it for my health. Yes it’s a drastic change from what most of us are used to, but isn’t eating real food better than sucking down protein shakes, eating chemically processed foods, detoxing, or restricting calories?

Whole30 Fast & Easy Cookbook – If you’re doing the Whole30 right now I highly recommend this book. The recipes I’ve made so far come together in minutes, taste AH-mazing and are so simple to put together. Most of them call for simple ingredients, and I think it’s a great addition to any kitchen. I made the Thai Chicken Noodle Bowl last night and it was perfect for a cozy, rainy evening.
Nutpods – It feels like I’ve tried nearly every non-dairy creamer out there, most were too sweet, too fake or not creamy enough. I’d pretty much given up until I found Nutpods French Vanilla Unsweetened creamer. So creamy, light vanilla flavor, and pretty clean ingredients (Purified water, coconut cream, almonds, natural flavors. Contains less than 2% of acacia gum, sunflower lecithin, dipotassium phosphate, gellan gum, sea salt). I love adding a little to my coffee or brewed chai tea in the morning. If you can’t find them at a store near you, don’t fret, Amazon Prime can have them to you in a day or two.
Coconut Cult – One bite and I was head over heals in love with this stuff! It’s so creamy, tart and tangy, I’ve truly never tasted anything like it. After a full week eating a spoonful or two every day, I can say my digestion has improved tremendously and I feel less bloated/icky. It’s incredibly pricey, hard to find and I hate recommending something this luxurious, but I can tell you from my experience, its a far better probiotic than anything I’ve taken in pill or gummy form and doesn’t upset my stomach like dairy yogurt does. Start with 1 or 2 tablespoons a day, which has been plenty for me and see how you like it. It’s the perfect topping for one of my gingerbread fat balls or stirred into a breakfast bowl. I was able to find 8oz jars, which suits my needs better than a 16oz jar, I’m afraid I wouldn’t eat it all before it expired.
Lululemon Carry Onward Rucksack 12L – I’ve been using this bag for a few weeks now and while I was hesitant at first I’ve completely fallen in love with it. It has so many pockets, a easy access zipper, a padded laptop compartment, holds a ton of stuff and is so comfortable to carry. While I’ve mostly been using it to tote my client binder, laptop and pad around I’m sure this would be a great commuter bag as well. I purchased the Dark Chrome color, as the fabric felt a little sturdier than the green or black. It’s stylish enough for everyday and goes with everything. I’ve had a few different Lululemon bags over the years, including this crossbody I carried all over Europe & Hawaii last year and am always impressed with the little details and sturdiness of their bags. They are 100% worth the investment and even better when you can snag one on sale.
Thigh Trimmer Exercise – I tried this with a client the other day and WOW! Our booty’s were on fire after doing this. Try adding it to your next workout for a move that will tighten and tone every inch of your legs!
